Lump sum approach requires timing the market. For index fund which will always go upwards in the long run, time not in the market will lose any potential as high may go higher
I will prefer the DCA method which is just set and forget and hopefully it will become a habit to save and invest

There are still undervalued stocks in the market. Also, those stocks affected by the raising rates may rebound when rate cut is announced

Options are risky if you do not have the adequate knowledge. If you are long term investors, can sell cash secured puts or covered calls to earn some income
If you are trading options, follow your trading plan to set stop loss or profit target so as not to let your option expire worthless unless you are selling puts or calls that are OTM thus you can keep your premium if the options expire worthless
