It was a wild year in many respects, but the stock market turned in a solid performance in 2021.
Except for a few brief sell-offs, the  $S&P 500 Index(.SPX.US)$ gained 26.9% for the year. The Dow Jones $Dow Jones Industrial Average(.DJI.US)$ gained 18.7% in 2021, while $Nasdaq Composite Index(.IXIC.US)$ gained 21.4%.

Elon Musk stays ahead of Jeff Bezos of $Amazon(AMZN.US)$ in terms of wealth and his path to trillionaire status may not be paved with $Tesla(TSLA.US)$ but to his other company SpaceX whose valuation hits 100 Billion largely due to its broadband satellite Internet subsidiary dubbed Starlink. Musk is planning to bring broadband satellite Internet to the world through Starlink. SpaceX's Starlink could be the cheapest way for investors to own a Musk-led company, once the service goes public. The downside for new investors to invest their money with Musk is the "Musk premium" as seen in the skyhigh valuation for $Tesla(TSLA.US)$.  Still, Starlink is a marvel and that bodes well for its IPO. There are reservations about how big Starlink can grow and how many customers it can take on at the speeds it is promising given the bandwidth constraints of the satellites. But surely Musk, SpaceX and Starlink are working hard on optimizing the network to ensure the fastest possible speeds to the largest number of customers. The better Starlink gets, the more users it will gain.  The more users it gains, the more revenue it will make. And the more revenue it makes, the sooner people will be able to invest in the Starlink IPO. The larger this market gets, the more popular Starlink IPO will become. If Musk could go from obsurity to among the world's most affluent through the growth of $Tesla(TSLA.US)$, it is not hard to imagine how he could bring investors wealth again through the highly anticipated Starlink IPO.

My trading journey started at the age of twenty one. On my 21st birthday, my parents have gifted me an exquisite golden key and a saving bank account book under my name. There was a $100/ deposit in the account. Along with those gifts, mum said "Happy Birthday Darling, this key would empower you to make your own decisions and decide wisely". Initially, I could not translate my mum's  ulterior motive for taking the trouble of giving me cash via the bank. Why couldn't she have just given me a hundred dollars in a red packet which were her norms during my past birthdays?
It has taken me a month before I could truly understand her thoughful intention. It happened on my first pay day when I handed her my paltry pay packet. Mum had retrievd a token sum for household expenses. Subsequently, she had returned me the balance of my pay check and advised me to save it in the bank, to be used as a humble capital for trading.
I was touched because that was her virtuous desire for me to be independent, and to make effective decisions, not only for the trading field but throughout my life for a better Future.
Trading is a volatile game. Since then, I had my fair shares of happiness and tensions.I was delighted when the stocks were bullish and I was frustrated when the shares' prices drifted downwards. Mum became my preseptor. She told me the importance of broadening my horizons by reading and researching on market news. Based on her patient advice, I explored more into this fascinating world of trading and how sound Buffett's principles were. She taught me the importance of adopting a trading strategy and how to harness it for future applications. At that time, there was no interactive trading platform like Moomoo to lean on. Gradually, she taught me how to look out for quality shares such as $A $Apple(AAPL.US)$ $S&W Seed(SANW.US)$ for long term investment. Most  important of all I learnt the valuable lesson of being cool minded and well disciplined in my investment journey. She had also taught me to lose with grace, because nobody can be a winner throughout his life. The important learning lesson, is that I should not commit a similiar mistake again.
This technique of making important decisions during trading has not only helped me at work, but has guided me in a successful marriage too.😀💘👍
