when it comes to dividends, there are 4 important dates for investors to keep in mind:y
Announcement date
The announcement date (also known as the announce date or declaration date) is the date on which a company’s board of directors announces the next dividend it will pay to its shareholders.
The announcement will include the dividend amount to be paid to shareholders. This is typically a dollar amount per share owned – for example, $0.12 per share.
The announcement will also include the date that the dividend will be paid (the payment date), and the cut-off date by which an investor must hold that stock in order to earn the dividend (the record date).

Record date is only good to know basis but does not apply to us investors

just a word of encouragement for those new to the movement. shorting occurs, price will dip, panic sell will happen but never forget that it is free to hodl, shorts have to cover sooner or later. dont panic. understand first what is happening before making any decisions so you can make the most sound decisions in this crusade. there are many technical analysis on like FTD reports, T+35 but if you want simple reason, just follow below.
simple data, short interest increased yesterday, shares on loan went up, is no wonder there is price dip (for sure there is panic selling). as long as short interest does not reduce, im not selling, im holding, i buying whenever i can (not financial advice, just my own conviction).
seek out your own financial convictions, all the best, enjoy the day before we fight again tonight.
