    $Grab Holdings(GRAB.US)$
I was as excited as most Singaporeans on this app when our home-grown brand got listed. But when I deep-dive into the company, I will likely not invest in it, at least for the short term.
Grab’s market in the South East Asia definitely has growth potential i.e. people are getting affluent, there’s an increase in digital growth etc. However, do note that Grab faces intense competition and challenges in all its businesses/services (ride-hailing, food delivery and financial services). At the moment, I don’t see very strong Moat displayed by them yet - similar to $Uber Technologies(UBER.US)$
    1. Ride hailing - doesn’t seem like they are going to expand to countries outside South East Asia region. And this spells limited growth, at least for the short term. Furthermore, this area of business is badly impacted by the pandemic. Taxi drivers are suffering (it’s a real problem on the ground)
    2. Food delivery - sales in this area did “rocket” as everyone started working from home since 2020. But Singapore, and a few other SEA countries, are too small. There is a limit to how much they can earn in this segment. Throw in Foodpanda, Deliveroo etc, their market shares will be further capped. Personally, I don’t think there is brand loyalty when it comes to food deliveries. I used Grab most of the time, but I also used the other two when there are discounts/ vouchers etc.
    3. Financial services - there are so many financial institutions around. It’s going to be tough competing against the banks, and even giants like Apple $Apple(AAPL.US)$ and Google $Alphabet-A(GOOGL.US)$ for their payments services. Once again, throw in Favpay, Singtel’s Dash $Singtel(Z74.SG)$  Alipay $Alibaba(BABA.US)$ etc etc. How much pie / market shares can they capture?
Overall, the company’s financial situation isn’t fantastic. Their revenue did grow YOY, but they are not profitable yet. Things may change in 3 to 5 years’ time (expansion by the company, covid has gone etc). But for the short term, I don’t think I would invest my money in them. The dollars can be better invested into other stocks with higher growth. Would suggest to enter only when the coast is clear. Meantime, I will just remain as their consumer using their services.
Not financial advice. DYDD and invest safely.

$Grab Holdings(GRAB.US)$ On the night before AGC switched to Grab, I was almost full, about 11 yuan a share. It was less than 5 minutes after the pre-market opened, and it jumped to $15... I didn't sell it! The set take-profit line is $20, up to $20.99. I'm guessing it was a squeeze, spurring the take-profit line, and all of my positions were emptied!
To be honest, I'm really lucky because I've always had AGC for 13 dollars, made up for the dips, and always bought them on the dips. And that jump, I guess, was a squeeze, because AGC was also seriously shorted, and the name was changed. Everyone was rushing to buy it, and there weren't enough stocks to circulate in the pre-market market. At the time, only 50 million shares of AGC's original shareholders were in circulation. When stocks jumped, bears were squeezed, and stocks rose sharply, causing profits to stop and be completely emptied.
There are too many stocks in circulation at Grab now. There are 4 billion shares in circulation, and almost half of them are easily shorted, and the agency's favorite thing is to intimidate retail investors, cut our chives every day, cut one dollar a day, which is a 13% drop. Many people lose money. This is no longer a problem that the market has no doubts about Grab's future expectations. Instead, they disguise the rational analysis of the market, saying that Grab's future is very dark, spreading fear everywhere... As a company that has just gone public, the future of Grab is very dark and spreads fear everywhere... As a company that has just gone public, the future of Grab is very dark and spreads fear everywhere stocks It is not normal for the price to drop by half. As one of the few leading companies in this region, this valuation of 26 billion US dollars is a serious misjudgment of the region's 650M population and a rapidly growing market in terms of both the economy and living standards. I don't think the fund manager of Temasek Holdings is an idiot, nor do I think SoftBank's Sun Zhengyi is an idiot. At this stage, the only two leading companies in this region that I can see listed $Sea(SE.US)$ und $Grab Holdings(GRAB.US)$ So now is a great time, and there aren't many opportunities to enter.

8 Things to Know as GRAB Stock Slides Today
GRAB's backdoor listing comes after an agreement with U.S. tech SPAC, Altimeter Growth Corp.
The deal saw GRAB raise $4.5 billion in funding, including $750 million from Altimeter.
Grab is a high-growth contender. Some expect the Southeast Asia digital economy to double by 2025.
The company began as a Malaysia-based taxi app in 2012. Since then, it's expanded into various other industries and mobile services.
Additionally, GRAB has support from some big players. Indeed, Toyota (NYSE:TM), Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Uber (NYSE:UBER) each have a stake in the company.
Unfortunately, Grab had less-than stellar revenue numbers to report this past quarter. Revenue was down 9% year-over-year, mostly attributed to Covid-19-related lockdowns across Southeast Asia, especially Vietnam.
However, Grab is aiming for profitability by 2023. At that point, the burgeoning Southeast Asian internet economy is expected to have grown substantially.
The super apps are operational in more than 465 cities across eight countries and offer everything from food-delivery to investment services.
As usual, the best strategy is to DCA.
