The biggest disadvantage of day trading in the stock market is time.
– Our time is limited, from 9:15 AM to 3:15 PM, you need to make all necessary trading decisions within just 6 hours. If you are a free trader, you need to place orders quickly, or the stocks may turn against you in a matter of seconds.
– Time is money for selling options; the longer the time period, the faster the premium decays. If the duration is 6 hours, we will miss the Theta decay of the options premium to a greater extent.
– By using a trend-following strategy, we enter the trend when it is established, but most Stocks only start trending after 11 AM, leaving us just a few hours to capitalize on the trend.
– In trend trading, most of the profits come from overnight gaps, which we, as day traders, cannot take advantage of.
Advantages:
1. Quick profits: Day trading offers the opportunity to gain profits quickly within a short time (usually within a day). Successful traders can profit by buying and selling multiple times each day. In this case, you do not have to wait long to realize profits.
2. No overnight risk: Unlike other forms of Trade, day traders do not incur overnight risk, as all positions are closed by the end of the trading day. This reduces the risk of losses caused by unexpected market fluctuations. Due to various factors, the market may experience gaps upwards or downwards, which could affect other positions...
