This is a common question that comes up among investors. There is no right or wrong answer but for those who are not adept at timing the market or who have no time or energy to monitor the market everyday, I feel dollar cost averaging (DCA) is an easier and safer approach as it averages out the per unit cost over time. Putting aside a set amount of money for investment at regular intervals is analogous to a form of regular savings (albeit with a higher level of risk tha...

Next week could be one of the most exciting times for global stock markets! Two major events— the U.S. election and the US Fed FOMC meeting - could significantly impact market trends.
Before these events, we have an important economic announcement this Friday: the U.S. October Non-Farm Payroll (NFP) report.
1. Why is this Non-Farm Payroll report important?
2. What indicators should investors pay attention to?

Good morning, traders. Happy Thursday, October 17th. The market is climbing on news that Taiwan Semi-Conductor said demand for chips was still strong.
My name is Kevin Travers; here are stories you must know about from Wall Street today.
$Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM.US)$ climbed 12% after opening, bringing the Taiwan giant to a valuation of over $1T after the firm reported earnings above estimates and a 54% climb in net profit on semiconduct...

The Chinese market has attracted increased attention in global markets, accompanied by rising volatility as more capital seeks to capitalize on potential opportunities largely driven by government measures. This environment led to a sharp rebound at the end of September, just before the National Holiday.
A specific example of this volatility: after two days of significant declines, the Chinese stock market rebounded...

I always remind myself to review my trades and strategies each quarter.
It helps me to be disciplined, to check my positions and make adjustments timely.
Securities Position: Looking good with gradual profits
Asset Distribution:
For me my Golden Ratio (Stocks/Funds) was previously 20/80. Seems like I’ve moved towards 50/50 with my bullishness on $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ .
Currency Exposure:
40/60 is sufficient for my golden ratio for trading in US market.
YTD Return:

The US Federal Reserve initiated its easing cycle with 50 basis points rate cut last week. This week, Chinese markets joined the trend on Tuesday by cutting the rate by 50 basis points. This decision sparked a rally, with the $Hang Seng Index (800000.HK)$ and $SSE Composite Index (000001.SH)$ rising more than 4% in a single day. On the same day, the Reserve Bank of Australia left its cash rate unchanged at 4.35%. Howe...

My ETF holdings are mainly the leveraged ETFs which have higher risk profile compared to other type of ETFs. However, my problem with my ETF holding is their lackluster performance. Luckily though they are only a small position of my overall portfolio and I am not looking at profit near term.
That being said, if you google about leveraged ETFs, you will see the red flag as below immediately.

Low cost ETF is the way to go! Sometimes the most simple and boring way is the best
If u refer to my moofolio, u can see I allocated quite a large % of it in $SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY.US)$ alongside $Advisorshares Trust Pure Us Cannabis Etf (MSOS.US)$ which had a whopping 470% gains!
Ranking of gains:
①ETFs
②AI boom with Nvidia selling the golden shovel
③Meme stocks
A single stock pick is incredibly hard to constantly ...

I did gradually realize that dining costs were going up.
For dining out, Toast Box raised their prices again this year! But then you see news like Putien restaurants absorbing GST and waiving service charges. It's a mixed bag...but I've personally cut down on eating out. Instead, I've been buying groceries and cooking at home – it's cheaper and fun for gatherings with friends and family.
I've also started using house brand products. Honestly, some of...
