toomanyscammers : I first went into eth fractionals in 2021 Dec, just before the fed rate hike and subsequent market crash, the following year. Back then in 2021, crypto was experiencing a similar situation as the present moment. Btc and eth kept hitting new highs and altcoins boomed. I entered in Dec 2021, just as crypto started having a dip, around the period that Fed announced a few rate hikes for 2022. Then, I thought, wah, this dip is a good time to go in! cos Eth was then 5k+,6k SGD before at its highs. so I went in small small amounts as fractional shares. Soon after though, it sank even further and though there was a slight slight rebound, it subsequently sank so low till about 3k+ and even lower (think 1k+? I didn't actively monitor) in 2022 bcos of the crypto winter from fed rate hikes and countries' regulatory policies.
Yes. Crypto might be at new highs now, just like in 2021, the year S&P also made new highs.
but it could also drop real low, like how Eth dropped to 2k+ just months later. I'd say, if ya prepared to enter at the height now, ya Must be prepared to also stay through any sudden drops or crashes that could unexpectedly come as. Mr Market is always never 100% predictable or guaranteed. War can suddenly break out, something we can't control or anticipate accurately or some economic incident could happen. maybe a Japan yen carry trade similar incident?
but are you prepared to stay through all these sudden crashes that could occur? If you are, then you won't mind the huge drops that could possibly come then even after you enter. then it's not so bad.
but if you think you can't or don't want to handle all these drops fully, then maybe adjust your position abit and don't put what U aren't comfortable losing.
