Stick to long term investment is because honestly it is not easy to watch all the time for the market.
How to select the companies as long term investment?
1. realistic question, is the company profitable?
2. hardly substitute by others? or hard for new entrant to enter the industry?
3. doing good in the operation? reading news for this
4. do you have enough confidence towards the company? means if the price is dropping but you will not selling it due to panic
5. or if you have selected the ETF, is the ETF has a diversify portfolio?
therefore, I think quite a lots factors you need to consider when you have decided to go for a long term investment

The common mistake while trading is follow rumours, FOMO and then buy the stock at high price and when it dropping and scare and sell it fast fast 😆
you must have confidence towards the shares you plan to hold…and don’t sell it just due to panic…

If I have one million, I will allocate into 10, 50% for shares, 30% for bonds and 20% for ETF
50% shares will be included companies from different industries

McDonald’s
Starbucks

ETF selection will be SPY/VOO/IVV, SMH, QQQ, OGIG and so on…just choose those you comfortable with
