102730170 : VT, AVUV, QQQ are some "safe options" from what I've seen people recommend. Rest are up to you and how much you believe in the company imo. Should mention that the ones I listed above are long-term investments with like a few years outlook. NVDA etc. are also relatively long-term stocks to hold but can occasionally take profit of course, and with the profits you can either spend it on pampering yourself or add more positions during pullbacks/corrections.

102730170 ManiArc OP : then probably just hold since it doesn't necessarily feel like a significantly large amount. Definitely a plus if it isn't money you are going to urgently need in the immediate future. Then DCA and see if you can add to your positions if it pulls back some more. Also depends at what point did you enter and if you can afford a short-term "loss"(in quotes because it's not technically a loss if it momentarily dips below but rises back to your original entry price anyways etc.)

102730170 : unfortunately, I don't think that logic/saying applies when it comes to stock. sure, if we're talking about tangible objects with weight, of course, according to the laws of physics, granted there is significant amount of weight, of course the higher you fly, the harder you fall. But when it comes to stocks, for all we know, an all time high could be the new low, it could stagnate, or it could even go higher and never fall to previously "normal" standards. I urge you not to invest in stocks if this logic is your takeaway from momentary dips/pullbacks it feels nonsensical and ignorant, no offence.

102730170 Yuqi Wang OP : certainly recommend taking the time to look at the flow of things, recognize certain patterns and behaviors then making your own judgment on what to do! That way you wouldn't find yourself feeling bad about taking advice from people when it causes you to lose money short-term! I know it's kinda a neutral advice, but that's how I view it anyways. I don't want my investment success to come from someone telling me what to do so I'm really just blindly following them, and then feel bad about it if it turns out to be bad advice etc. hope this helps in some way!
