The AI giant Nvidia announced a 10-for-1 forward stock split in its Fiscal Q1 earnings conference call on May 22. According to a release, the shares will begin trading split-adjusted at the market open on June 10.🚀🚀🚀
Although a stock split does not change the market value of a company, it provides a wider range of investors with the opportunity to purchase shares. How do you think the market will react to NVIDIA's stock split? ...

It was the internet in the late ’90s, social media in the 2000s, and digital currency (crypto) in the 2010s. Facebook’s Metaverse might be one of the greatest investment opportunities in the 2020s. If you are following Facebook’s Connect 2021 conference you will realize how much deep Facebook now Meta has invested in the platform. They own Oculus which is the first step towards VR/AR metaverse. The application of Metaverse based platforms is immense and beyond gaming and virtually every aspect of our lives. Here are some of the potential companies to benefit from:
1. $Unity Software (U.US)$ Unity Software: Virtually all applications will be developed either on Unity or Unreal Engine.
2. $Autodesk (ADSK.US)$ Autodesk: They own 3D Max and Maya which again might be used to develop VR/AR applications. Plus they have various Building Information Modelling tools like Revit and Navisworks which might be useful in creating Metaverse beyond gaming.
3. $Matterport (MTTR.US)$ Matterport: 3D scanning
4. $Trimble (TRMB.US)$ Trimble: Again they have Sketchup and various 3D scanning tools
5. $Shopify (SHOP.US)$ Shopify and Amazon: They might be the first ones to create virtual stores.
6. $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ Microsoft: They own Minecraft and have developed ‘Hololens’
7. $Roblox (RBLX.US)$ Roblox: The platform already works with Oculus.
Let me know if there are any other key players which I have missed.

$Rivian Automotive (RIVN.US)$ matters as it offers Americans another choice when it comes to an EV maker other than the hugely successful $Tesla (TSLA.US)$. What matters more is perhaps $Rivian Automotive (RIVN.US)$ will be the first to market an electric pick-up truck. With a headstart, an exciting vehicle and fresh capital, will that be enough for the new car company to succeed? The path to its success may not be easy as it is almost unknown and has little time for mistakes. $Rivian Automotive (RIVN.US)$ does not have the same opportunities as $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ to experiment and figure things out without the competition. Even though the contract by $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ would be the main growth catalyst, there are risks involved by depending heavily on a single customer and possible supply chain disruptions that could lead to costly delays. Investors should be prepared to brace themselves for a stomach-churning ride. For now, $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ seems to be a safer bet as its success story is not easy to replicate.

$Nanofilm (MZH.SG)$ Hope to consult if anyone knows if $Ginkgo Bioworks (DNA.US)$ can replicate Nanofilm's nanotechnology? If so I will dump nanofilm and use the proceeds to buy Ginkgo shares instead.

$Palantir (PLTR.US)$ I was long in this one, but got rid of it for the reasons (no position foe now):
1. The excutives got outrageous volume of shares at no cost. They are now selling.
2. The company’s technology is not that special; don’t be misguided by its secrecy. you can buy defense contractors for advanced military technology if you feel mystery snd technology possess special values
3. The company is greatly overpriced given its growth prospects and operation risks. You can buy much better growth stocks than this one.
I am writing this just because I was outraged by the excutives’ stock options. We should reward good and decent management who actually care about shareholders’ interests.
