I also can… invest with confidence with MooMoo, learn from my mistakes, recoup losses and make wins!
One cannot realistically say that mothers are always role models for all aspects of life. But that they love in many different ways. My mum is not huge in financial literacy / investing knowlegde, nor focuses too much savings because she would often prioritize spending every single penny on us - her children, and family if it means getting the best things in life for us, making sure we do not compromise on our education, on our material things, on our experiences, on...
started bright eyed about the potential of $Sea (SE.US)$ , $NIO Inc (NIO.US)$ and other promising tech stocks. Needless to say, them hitting rock bottom before I could get out was such a setback! still looking towards the long term and believing in the market. does that make me a better investor? I don’t know. but I’ve definitely learnt that these fluctuations happen all the time and to take it as it is. here’s to the future!

I would like to think that the “secret” is to never lose heart and think long term. 塞翁失马焉知非福。not to get caught up in short term losses/excitement and gains, and lose the big picture/lose sight of what is truly important and why we do what we do.
I bought $Sea (SE.US)$ at its high point and ended up holding though have already made a huge loss. the value of the stock halved! continued holding all because I felt the intrinsic value of the stock hasn’t changed. Time will tell. but yes bought high, sadly.

As they always say “buy Low, sell high”. Losses aren’t always losses until you sell Low and confirm these losses. Sometimes, we have to trust our initial assessment in buying into the company and seeing it as valuable in the first place. We can deal with losses by avoiding panic selling
thought to buy into grab because it’s something my family and everyone uses everyday, and seemed to be indispensable at this point. obviously making a loss haha. waiting to see how things go. companies with potential don’t always ensure profits oh well. look at SE - still betting on it long term though.
happy new year Moomoo! for this year, I would like to start investing consistently (a specific target would be putting few hundreds of funds in at least every 2 months) instead of trying too hard to time the market. aim an overall return of 8-10% annually! cliche as it sounds, time in the market is really more worth it in the long run than cracking our heads timing. I would also like to add 3 more different ETFs to my portfolio for diversification. deadline? 31st Dec 2022! chee...
My Moomoo wishlist is to have more positions on valuable companies to hold for long term! Moomoo events are amazing and interactive and hope to have more chances to accumulate points and exchange for rewards: be it moomoo merchandise or free stocks! most importantly I hope to see specific company stock vouchers being released again as I own 2 universal stock vouchers that I haven’t gotten to combine/use! thank you Moomoo for everything and keep it up!
