Recently, shipowner Nissen Kaiun (Nissen Kaiun) and Yangzi Mitsui Shipbuilding signed an order for 4 new 0.088 million cubic LPG/ammonia carriers. The new ships use LPG dual fuel and will be operated by BGN after completion. Nisken Shipping is a Japanese shipowner with a large and diverse fleet, including various types of ships such as natural gas carriers, oil and chemical tankers, bulk carriers, and container ships. Nichien Shipping places importance on fleet renewal. There are 96 ships aged 0-5 years, accounting for 56.1%; only 2 ships are 20 years old or more.

According to the shipping industry's focus tracking, this is the second time within a month that Maersk has been reported to switch to LNG fuel. In late June, fuel markets, brokers, and observers of the new shipbuilding industry said that Maersk was in talks with a number of companies to lease a series of new LNG dual-fuel ships. These discussions involved approximately 16,000 TEU container ships, ranging in number from 6 to 16. Seaspan Corp is frequently mentioned as one of the potential leasers, while China's New Era Shipbuilding and Yangzijiang Shipyard are potential shipyards involved in the project.

According to trade news, ONE has returned to Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and Jiangnan Shipbuilding to add a total of 10 13,000 TEU methanol dual-fuel powered container ships, and the two shipyards will each build 5. In addition to the order for 12 ships of the same type officially confirmed on January 17, 2024, ONE has ordered a total of 22 13,000 TEU methanol dual-fuel container ships from Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and Jiangnan Shipbuilding, and the two shipyards have each constructed 11 ships.

The new shipbuilding base is adjacent to Jiangsu Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of our group. On July 8, Greek shipping company Danaos Corporation announced on its official website that it has signed contracts with two Chinese shipyards to build 5 medium-sized container ships, with a total order value of 0.509 billion US dollars (approximately RMB 3.702 billion).
Among them, 4 9200TEU medium container ships were built by Dalian Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China Shipping Group, with a total order value of about 0.416 billion US dollars (about RMB 3.025 billion), and the cost of a single ship is about 0.104 billion US dollars, which are expected to be delivered in 2027 (3 ships) and 2028 (1 ship), respectively; 1 8258 TEU medium container ship was constructed by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, with an order value of 93 million US dollars (about RMB 0.676 billion)...
