A 7-foot-tall bronze of Harambe, the Cincinnati Zoo gorilla that made national headlines in 2016 after picking up and carrying around a 3-year-old boy who climbed into its enclosure, then getting shot, appeared on Wall Street Monday.
The giant gorilla was placed in Bowling Green Park, directly across from the famous Charging Bull statue, which was surrounded by 10,000 bananas.
The organizers, founders of Sapien.Network, an in-development social networking platform "dedicated to putting the needs and welfare of human beings first" said they put up the display to show that Wall Street has become "bananas" -- wholly out of touch with the needs of everyday people.
Sapien.Network co-founders Robert Giometti, Tejay Aluru and Ankit Bhatia said they used the symbol of Harambe to represent the millions who struggle under a U.S. capitalist system they say "enriches wealthy elites and leaves the average person behind."
OK that was deep. Any thought about the ape statue and it's meaning?

The fear and greed index was developed by CNNMoney to measure two of the primary emotions that influence how much investors are willing to pay for stocks.
The fear and greed index is measured on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. In theory, the index can be used to gauge whether the stock market is fairly priced. This is based on the logic that excessive fear tends to drive down share prices, and too much greed tends to have the opposite effect.
Be fearful when others are greedy. Be greedy when others are fearful.
---Warren Buffett
Fear & Greed Index
What emotion is driving the market?
Market Volatility: Neutral
The CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) is at 17.75. This is a neutral reading and indicates that market risks appear low. Last changed Sep 21 from an Extreme Fear rating.
Safe Haven Demand: Fear
Stocks and bonds have provided similar returns during the last 20 trading days. However, this has been among the weakest periods for stocks relative to bonds in the past two years and indicates investors are fleeing risky stocks for the safety of bonds. Last changed Sep 23 from an Extreme Fear rating.
Put and Call Options: Extreme Fear
During the last five trading days, volume in put options has lagged volume in call options by 49.89% as investors make bullish bets in their portfolios, indicating extreme fear on the part of investors. Last changed Sep 15 from a Fear rating.

Asia eyes steady start amid taper debate; bonds up: markets wrap
Asian stocks look set for modest gains early Thursday after U.S. shares and Treasuries climbed on signs of moderating inflation that reduced concerns about an imminent paring back of Federal Reserve stimulus.
Futures edged up in Japan and Australia and were steady in Hong Kong. U.S. contracts fluctuated after the S&P 500 hit a record and the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 fell amid a rotation to cyclical shares. Treasuries rose following a strong auction of 10-year notes and a U.S. inflation report lending support to the Fed’s assessment that price pressures are transitory. The dollar held a drop.
