Best thing to do is to eat eat eat. Why leave all the goodies on the table when they could be sitting in your stomach instead? Enjoy eating and catching up with family members. Oh! And playing mahjong of course. Huat big big this year everyone!

If the loss is more than 5 percent, I start to investigate why did this loss happen. Is it because of market conditions? Is the broad market down as well? If it's just this stock, why is it down? Was there a change in the company fundamentals? If the answer is no, then perhaps it was a one-time event, and the stock is just on discount now.

My first two trades were VOO and QQQ... but my timing was bad, because I bought them right before the Fed announced intention to raise interest rates. So I guess I'm starting off the year red :( This year with all the interest rate hikes is gonna be difficult to invest.

My goal is to slightly outperform the average. Due to US interest rate hikes, I expect that this year's stock market will be volatile with many ups and downs. This year's stock market may even end relatively flat. I intend to make use of this volatility to make short term profits. In order to adhere to this strategy, I have to be more active in my investing mindset, and not just buy-and-hold. I will monitor the market more closely and increase my number of transactions.

Simply wish that moomoo remains as a stable platform for trading, and will not go down when there is high trade volume (for example, Robinhood, multiple times this year). That is all that I hope for!
