The hottest investment theme today is not cryptocurrency trading, but the "Metaverse".
I am not a big fan of buying crypto as an investment but I said the investment opportunities will emerge from the ecosystem surrounding cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. And I believe Metaverse is one of them.
I think Metaverse is moving our digital life to a new level by integrating many latest technologies. The metaverse will be right at the new frontier of human digital evolution, because it puts together all the latest innovations such as blockchain technologies, cryptocurrencies, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), etc.
What is the Metaverse?
The metaverse is a combination of two words: “meta” and “verse”. Meta means “beyond”, Verse means universe.
The word “Metaverse” was first coined by author Neal Stephenson in his 1992 science fiction novel "Snow Crash". In the book, the Metaverse is a collective virtual shared space, created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical reality and physically persistent virtual space.
If it is hard to imagine, take a look at the trailer of the 2018 movie“Ready Player One”, then you will have some ideas.
In today's context, the Metaverse is a digital reality that combines aspects of social media, online gaming, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and cryptocurrencies to allow users to interact virtually. It is a “universe” where people interact with each other not in real person, but virtually.
Today, I think to many people, the metaverse may still sound like science fiction, but human advancement always starts with dreams. The 1980s “Back to the Future" series was one of my favourite movies, and most of the things that appeared in the movie have become reality today.
Why the Metaverse will be a secular trend
Recently, I published this article to discuss this topic:
* What is the metaverse?

Technical DNA collects 10 most-traded bottom divergence tickers from stocks with market cap of more than $2B, aiming to help investors look for good investment opportunities.
$Twitter (Delisted) (TWTR.US)$ $Palantir (PLTR.US)$ $Li Auto (LI.US)$ $Roku Inc (ROKU.US)$ $Blackrock (BLK.US)$ $Tencent (TCEHY.US)$ $MicroStrategy (MSTR.US)$ $Chewy (CHWY.US)$ $Guidewire Software (GWRE.US)$ $Horizon Therapeutics (HZNP.US)$
What is MACD divergence?
The 'MACD divergence' is a situation where the price creates higher tops and the MACD creates a raw of lower tops, or the price creates a lower bottom and the MACD creates higher bottoms. MACD divergence after a significant uptrend indicates that the buyers are losing power and MACD divergence after downtrend indicates the sellers losing power.
Therefore, the indicator 'MACD bottom divergence' aims to find stocks that are likely to go up in the future.
Tips: As shown in the pic, the indicator could be useful in short-term investment, so don't hold the stocks too long if you buy them on the indicator. Sell them in time when you make a profit!

Yes I could wrong. For trading, one has to be agile and know when to cut loss when one is wrong. For investment, its a different operations because for trading, when price moves against one aggressively and hit stop loss limit, one is wrong even if fundamentals are unchanged.
Why did China "suspends" Tencent app from updating yesterday (25 Nov 2021)?
For my longtime followers on youtube, Tiger Brokers and reddit, you would know that I have done a video on Renminbi internationalisation and see China playing a very good piece of chess (i call them the master chess player)!
https://youtu.be/Pu-rXA480RY
If you watch the video above, you would know that China is going to push forward with Renminbi internationalisation given that globally, the reserves in RMB are still very small compared to USD and Euro. An important piece of the chess set is to allow Chinese citizens to invest overseas!
With overseas equities particularly US equities at high valuation, it would make sense for China to keep Chinese equities listed overseas at lower valuation so that when they eventually open the floodgates, their domestic citizens who abide the rules and only invest by them, can enjoy the fruits with chinese equities rebounding fiercely then.
This is why until China allows their citizens to invest overseas directly, any rebound in Chinese tech stocks may not be that strong. This is why after Tencent crossing 500 HKD these few days, Chinese authorities have yet again announced such measures to keep the excitement of potential rebound in tech stocks at its bay.
As always, this should not be construed as any investment or trading advice.

There are actually some interesting reads on $Sono Group (SEV.US)$ electric car
1. Sono Motor’s ”Sion”, set to be the first affordable solar EV car at €21,429 (ex-VAT)
2. License the tech that powers it’s solar (which will be of usage to other companies. e.g EasyMile that provides shuttle buses to governments, schools and other companies would be the first to integrate this tech onto its vehicle
3. Power sharing feature; Through the Sono app, one of the feature inside is electricity sharing. (Can use it to charge other cars?! I think can be used for other usages as well)
4. They were once awarded the “Most Significant Innovation Award in Electric Vehicles” at the IDTechEx Show, Berlin
It’s a company with foreseeable potentials. There are already partnerships with different companies for different purposes; Bosch, Sibros, etc. Even though with no actual production yet, but they already have over 350million worth of reservations from customers.
These were just some stuffs I came across, believe there are still many others.

Semiconductors, automobiles and the potential for tie-ups between the two industries took the spotlight in the tech sector with seemingly everyone from $Apple (AAPL.US)$ to $Qualcomm (QCOM.US)$ getting behind the wheel this week.
Let's start with $Apple (AAPL.US)$ which said...Absolutely nothing. But, reports that the company has developed a semiconductor "breakthrough", and will produce a fully autonomous electric car within four year were enough to send just about everyone wondering what companies might benefit from Apple putting a so-called "iCar" on the road.
Other chip companies involved into automotive industry actually did have a lot to say during the week. One of those was $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$, which got a big boost on Wall Street following its better-than-expected earnings report. Nvidia (NVDA) also said it was still pushing ahead with efforts to acquire British chip-technology company Arm Holdings despite more governmental inquiries into the proposed $40 billion acquisition.
$Qualcomm (QCOM.US)$ wouldn't be outdone, as it said it secured a deal to provide its chip technology to BMW for a new generation of the automakers self-driving cars. Qualcomm Chief Executive Cristiano Amon also touted the company's automotive plans as part of its efforts to diversity into new industries for its chip products.
If that wasn't enough, $General Motors (GM.US)$ also said it was working with Qualcomm and other chipmakers to supply semiconductors for its vehicles in an effort to get around chip industry supply shortages.
Back to Apple for a moment. Chief Executive Tim Cook said Apple employees should plan on returning to the office, at least part time, on February 1. Apple also started up a new service program that will let consumers perform their own repairs on some Apple products.
Streaming TV companies weren't being quiet this week, either. $Netflix (NFLX.US)$ unveiled a new website where it will show its top-rated TV shows and movies every week.
$Disney (DIS.US)$ said it is raising the price of its Hulu Live TV service by $5 to $69.99 a month, but will include ESPN+ and Disney+ as part of the streaming package.
$Roku Inc (ROKU.US)$ took a hit after analyst Michael Nathanson cut his rating on the company's stock to sell due to slower advertising growth on the Roku Channel. There were also reports that Roku is developing more than 50 original shows for the Roku Channel.
After a bidding war between some of the largest TV broadcasters and streamers, $Comcast (CMCSA.US)$managed to renew its deal to carry games of the English Premier League for another six years.
For people who use $Uber Technologies (UBER.US)$ a lot, the ride-sharing leader unveiled its new Uber One program where, for a monthly or annual fee, subscribers can get discounts on ride and free food and grocery delivery from Uber Eats.

$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ Long live gaming, it is amazing how gaming (something for fun) could provide the technical foundation and cash cow to build the biggest semiconductor and system company in the world!
When it is hard to tell the difference between job and play, then we have the ideal job.
Happy investing and great returns in the years to come. It was reported in Digitimes, NVDA and $Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US)$ had placed big orders to $Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM.US)$ for the 5nm fab capacity (after Apple this year) next year. Looks like NVDA and AMD would be TSM’s biggest customers after Apple.
