Airline stocks are not what you should buy long-term during a pandemic. During pandemic, there are travel curbs and lockdown. At the lowest, flights were down 90%.
This pandemic is a century thing. The SARS outbreak in 2003 only lasted 6-9 months. There has not been something worse since the Spanish Flu in 1918 where 50m people died. Now there are are about 5.5m deaths. It has gone on for nearly 2 years already. I don't see a recovery to pre-COVID level for at least 1 year.
