Post your learning results by taping the discussion: How does RSI tell whether your stock is overbought or oversold?
Hi mooers!
Have you used the RSI to help you decide whether to buy or sell a stock? If you have, you may find the RSI doesn't work sometimes. Even if it falls below 30, it doesn't go up at all. Instead, the price keeps falling.

Dear Ah Boy/Ah Girl,
Do not buy a stock on its first day of IPO. DO NOT chase after the initial hype! The price would usually stabilise to a much lower price than the first day.
For example, $Coinbase (COIN.US)$ and $JD LOGISTICS (02618.HK)$ debuts their IPO recently on NASDAQ and HKSE. Look at their stock price now. They are way lower than their first day IPO closing price.
Only buy IPO stocks after about 1 month or even better after its first quarter report. Be patient like your old Dad.
Love Always ♥️

Before we answer the question, we must first understand the trading unit in HKEX is quite different from stock exchanges in the U.S.
In the Hong Kong stock market, the smallest trading unit for an order executed is 1 "board lot". This term may sound very strange to you if you have only traded in the U.S. market, but it’s actually quite simple.
What is a “board lot”?
Stock exchanges use “board lot” as the trading unit and it determines the number of shares you can trade.
In Hong Kong stock market, the number of stocks of each lot depends...
