I used to trade with the hope to gain big in the shortest time, thus prefer short term investment. However, after a period that I noticed there are actually more benefits for long-term investment. I no longer require to monitor my trade closely and by using dollar averaging and other tactics, I could safely select some good companies with better returns. Thus I have changed to longer term investment and save much time to do research and technical analysis to select more stocks for my investment profolio.

I first started my trading about 2 years ago. I tried to attend as many investment talks as I could and hope to gain tips on what stocks I should invest in. My biggest mistake was to believe fully what these investment 'experts' said and blindly invested in the stock market. I had lost about 80% of my invested funds and did not know how to set the target to cut my losses. I have since gain experiences and be more cautious in my investment journey.

I have happy to have joined moomoo investment platform in 2021. It is user friendly and the welcome gift of free Apple share was attractive. Though I have another investment platform, I noticed moomoo could make my selection of stocks much easier and the transaction could be completed promptly. Also the payout amount from the win stock is added immediately to my cash account to continue my trading process. My other investment platform will take 3 working days to collect my payout.
