The Speculator OP 104953679 : yes, i agree. only way they recover before next ER is a significant partnership, or macroeconomy news. I still like the long term prospects of the business and see a few bullish signs in the ER (MI350 timeline moving forward). But short term a lot of headwinds (tariff, downward momentum etc.)

The Speculator OP 10baggerbamm : i see ur point that you’re disappointed in the recent performance. The way I see it is a bit different, i think they have a good coach and pieces that they acquired recently that will fit well, but they need time. In the end, they are not the market leader like Nvidia, but they adapted well which is why their MI300 series can still generate revenue (+$5b). If you want to look at poor coach, it should be Intel which is now looking more dire. The market pivoted to AI dominance and AMD is playing catchup, and as everyone know that in tech, catching up is always unforgiving, but I like that they focused on memory instead to differentiate themselves. I do not think that this is a quick turnaround, but if you look at the long run, they will get a piece of the AI pie. How big of the pie, we do not know and it is based on their execution, but I do believe Lisa Su is a GREAT Ceo.
The Speculator OP modest Narwhal_1005 : I don’t think any Buffet followers would even consider AMD or tech companies with rapid development. Maybe the people who invest in AMD just believe in their tech and their leader. Short term is always based on sentiment and momentum, but long term is always based on the company’s execution. It is unfair to judge those who invest AMD as ‘beginers’ as the same can be said to those who invest in Palantir when it is $6. Time will tell
