Mainland Holdings $FEYTECH (5322.MY)$ Today, a joint venture agreement was signed with China's Wuhu Ruitai Auto Parts Limited, collaborating to design and manufacture car seat components for supply to the Malaysian or overseas markets.
According to the press release, Wuhu Ruitai is an indirect subsidiary of Chery Automobile. Mainland Holdings and Wuhu Ruitai will form a joint venture with a 51:49 equity distribution ratio to establish a domestic company together.
Both parties will provide a total initial capital of 6 million ringgit to the related joint venture companies based on their respective equity ratios, and invest an additional 7.72 million 5500 ringgit one year after the establishment of the company.
The aforementioned joint venture company will supply local production auto seat-related parts for the autos manufactured by Chery Automobile.
Mainland Hold's CEO and Executive Director, Wu Koni, stated in a press release that after partnering with Wuhu Ruitai, the company will penetrate the international market, meet the diversified needs of the automotive industry, and drive national export growth.
"I want to thank Wuhu Ruitai, a subsidiary of Chery, for choosing us as their partner. Chery's selection of Malaysia as its strategic move for the company's Southeast Asian manufacturing center reflects the strong cooperative relationship between Malaysia and China."
