In January, the market capital must have been locked in Huayang IPO, but the fundraising  amount of 180mil is not very large IMHO, hoping that this hot IPO can form a parabolic pattern ,  friends who participated in their first day listing could earn a lot of 🧧🧧.
Bursa fundraised  55 IPOs last year,  with amount 7.42Bil, the highest since 2005, . There are 23  IPOs listing in 2024 2H, the above stocks are my favourite chart setup.

In my investment and speculation strategy, why should we mix long and short? Time lost is never coming back, so we need to consider three core factors: 1. Time cost 2. Sunk cost 3. Holding cost. The characteristic of US stocks is that companies can go public and raise funds even during loss-making periods, providing ample room for short-term trading. For companies that are already profitable, their Business PE ratios have been analyzed by various institutions, hence the upward potential is relatively small but stable. Therefore, for long positions, one should Buy stable and profitable companies. However, stable companies have relatively low returns, especially for multibillion-dollar companies with high Market Caps; while loss-making companies, if positioned in a trend wave, are full of imagination, of course, with high volatility and high risk characteristics.
Short-term trading needs to identify trend industries, such as quantum drones, space AI, etc., all of which belong to trend industries.
For example, NVDA, AVGO, MSFT, AMZM belong to mature integrated AI chip super-giant enterprises, so they can be used for long positions. APLD is in the innovation and stable entry stage, so it can be traded short-term or entered for the long term.
Quantum drones are currently in the stage of burning money, so they are suitable for short-term trading. Of course, you can also buy and hold for the long term, but you don't know which one will succeed. Therefore, in the process of short-term trading, you will clearly see which companies are gradually maturing, and then you can select them for long-term positions.

As an investor, the fund manager adopts a mixed approach of long and short positions in investment and speculation, taking short positions based on price and long positions based on value. By the settlement of long and short positions in 2024, a ROI of 69% was achieved.
