KLSE has many good stocks, but playing here really requires zen and patience. Not only is the daily trading volume low,  but the market also seems to be very susceptible to negative news.
I get that this is good for a longer-term mindset since Asia, including MY, is poised for the next level of growth, but I also need some stimulating and excitement in managing my portfolio.
Is this a bad mindset to have?

I owned 45 shares in Jul but only 21 in Aug. I decided  to rationalise and cut off those I bought during a buying frenzy and only had a small quantity per share (some US shares I only owned 1 unit). After all, to pay attention to 45 counters is too mentally taxing, to me at least.
It turned out to be quite a premature and hasty move because some of those that I have cut off rose sharply in the past 2 weeks.  Not to mention all the fees associated with selling. All these ...

    $Russell 2000 Index (.RUT.US)$
My pick is small caps, a segment I never paid attention to until now after digesting various pundits' opinions in the past few days.
The Fed's rate cut might float many boats directly and indirectly, and small caps are one of them. Given that the Mag 7 tech stocks are quite overvalued, investors like me who only recently saw the spotlight that was shone on small caps can see the huge contr...

I wish everyone could have a good quality education so we can live in a more egalitarian society where certain predatory mindset people can't prey on the less informed ones.
One aspect of a good quality education is financial literacy. With awareness, knowledge, and experience in actively managing one's own finance, people will be more empowered, less of a dependant mindset, and also less of a victimhood mindset.
Furthering this point, one aspect of financial self empowe...
    My wishes for Malaysia
I admit I bought $Ecopetrol (EC.US)$ before conducting proper analysis. I just based on dividend yield, PE and the industry.
If the market agreed with me, this Colombian national petroleum company listed on NYSE (Petronas equivalent in Malaysia) would have increased in price, but it didn't.
Turns out that while this counter is considered undervalued, it is also a value trap because the EPS and other profit indicators dropped compared to 2023.
But, luck may be on my side...

Can someone please tell me if I'm finally seeing some light in my $NESTLE (4707.BMS)$ black tunnel?
There is a notice about EPF purchasing 27mil + of Nestle MY stocks, abd this represents 11%+ of the company.
However, when I look at the share-holding structure, it appears EPF already holds 11%+ of the company. So my question is, is this chart in Moomoo app before or after the announcement?
If what's in the notice has already been executed,  I'm surprised why there is no ...

$HEIM (3255.MY)$ is the second MY share I owned. Its seems to be undervalued, has strong EPS and pays good dividend. Not many major red flags but the profit margin did reduce sharply in 2023.
What do you think is the outlook of this stock?

How the mighty has fallen. $NESTLE (4707.BMS)$ sunk into its 5Y all-time-low in the past few weeks, right after I bought the stock on account of the company's strong brands, good management, good consumer understanding, and overall all-rpund capabilities worldwide. Yes, the PE is very inflated, something I should have taken caution of.
Now, I'm contemplating whether or not to cut my losses and use the money to invest in some very interesting stocks and other fin instrume...

Generally, car companies have not been doing well since the pandemic. But I'm holding a slightly more optimistic view on the consumer market compared to news headlines, and I believe in the good brands $Stellantis NV (STLA.US)$ has. They also have a healthy balance sheet and is generous with their dividend.
Hope I made the right pick!
What is your assessment on this counter?
