(New York 30th News) Insiders revealed that Nvidia $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ has been in talks about joining the financing of OpenAI, and the valuation of this AI startup is expected to exceed 100 billion US dollars (approximately 432 billion ringgit).
According to Bloomberg, insiders who declined to disclose their identities also said that Apple $Apple (AAPL.US)$ and Microsoft $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ Also discussing participating in this round of financing.
Bloomberg reported earlier this week that this round of financing will be led by Thrive Capital, with an investment size of approximately $1 billion.
If the negotiations progress, it will mean that the three largest technology giants in terms of market cap will be behind the developer of this groundbreaking ChatGPT chatbot.
Microsoft is already the largest investor in OpenAI, with an investment of approximately $13 billion.
Apple is also connected to OpenAI. The iPhone manufacturer is integrating ChatGPT into its new AI feature suite called Apple Intelligence.
Apple and Microsoft had also intended to obtain observer seats on OpenAI's board of directors, but they were forced to abandon this plan in July due to increased AI antitrust supervision by the US government.
Nvidia is the key developer and operator of AI tools such as ChatGPT.
