While I understood the basics of buying low and selling high for profit, I quickly learned that successful trading also involves covering transaction fees. Nerdy OP GoldStar56 : Hi there, I am thinking of sharing more details on my learning on building portfolio. Here are the stocks that have performed well for me. Those with higher returns are higher risk trades I took keeping time frame of about few hours to week whereas other investments are targeted for low risk sustainable returns in the long term about 1-5 year time frame.
Nerdy OP Moomoo AU : Thank you. and thanks to @Invest With Cici , who encouraged me to write and share this.
Nerdy OP 72428084 : Cheers. I'm glad that it was helpful.
Nerdy OP 105524367 : That's great. Best wishes to you
Nerdy OP Griffo_au : Thank you. The exit strategy depends on each stock and market sentiments and events . for long term investments I book profit after stock value has increased 20-25%. For short term trades, I target to achieve profit that covers for at least transaction costs.
