Last week, the markets were dominated by escalating trade tensions, with tariffs on steel and aluminum imports sparking fears of a global trade war. The European Union retaliated with counter-tariffs on $28 billion worth of U.S. goods, further spooking investors. Meanwhile, concerns over valuations and earnings continued to weigh on the tech sector, with $Adobe (ADBE.US)$ and $Intel (INTC.US)$ making headlines f...

Moomoo Australia – election 2025
By @Michael McCarthy CEO, @Jessica Amir
Voters and investors who are expecting the 'same old, same old' in the upcoming federal election could be in for a shock. This is likely to be a very different vote. Unlike many recent elections, this one has potential for impact on financial markets. So, over the next few weeks, be alert to potential reaction in stocks and the overall sharemarket.

The US earnings season is in full swing, with stock volatility expected to rise. The idea that "a rough sea makes the catch more valuable," makes this period often seen as an good time to invest. With this earnings season coinciding with Trump's rise to power, how will the market respond? and who will emerge as the "big investor"? ![]()

I am experienced, with a cumulative profit of 8% since the beginning of 2021; I am also a novice, recently opened a global brokerage account. I had no concept of the 370, 0, 3400 points, and the general idea of the large-cap and CSI 300 Index. I have hardly any concept of the Nasdaq, Dow Jones, or ASX. I have not researched specific details of the Hang Seng Index.
I have learned the Buffett indicator: total market cap/GDP. The higher the value, the higher the stock risk. China's value was 0.7322 on January 20th. Now, let's detail the USA.
Since 1932, there has been a pattern where the stock market rises to a new president's inauguration after the election ends, followed by four stable months. Using the Buffett Indicator of around 200%, the suspicion arises about the US stock market, which currently has a PE ratio more than twenty times. However, it must be pointed out that a large proportion of US companies' sales revenue comes from overseas, with approximately 40% of the S&P 500 Index's constituent stocks' revenue coming from international markets, not accounted for in the GDP. It is also worth noting that the high proportion of the new economy makes it challenging for the GDP to accurately measure changes in the quality of goods and services, as well as reflect the value of new products and services adequately. The GDP may be undervalued, making this indicator more suitable for the manufacturing industry.
Also, Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway's cash and short-term investments are related to the next five years of the S&P 500, such as in 2004 accounting for 35% of the market cap, but the USA...

My wishlist for 2025 includes enhancing moomoo functionality.
Here is my wishlist:
1) Visual presentation of Cash Dividends
Current: I can only see Cash Dividends in Fund Details and filter them under Corporate Actions. For long-term investors, we want to analyze the amount of Cash Dividends received monthly, quarterly, and annually. There is currently no cumulative data.
Wish List: I suggest visualizing the earned Cash Dividends, similar to the accumulated P/L chart. This can help those who invest long-term in dividend-paying Stocks...
