NVIDIA positions Gaudi 3 against its competing products, the "H100" GPU for cloud/datacenter and the "H200" with HBM3e memory. As for the Gaudi 3 benchmarks, compared to the H100, AI training performance improved on average by 1.4 times, AI inference performance by 1.5 times, and the AI inference performance per energy consumption by up to 2.3 times. Moreover, even in comparison with the higher performance memory used in the H200, the AI inference performance recorded an average of 1.3 times improvement.
According to the company's evaluation, Gaudi 3 is faster and more power-efficient than NVIDIA's H100. It claims to accelerate AI models by 1.7 times and improve software execution capabilities by 1.5 times. This product is nearly equivalent to NVIDIA's new H200, slightly superior in some areas but lagging a bit behind in others.
