Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA), ahead of the announcement of the third quarter earnings scheduled for November 20 after the close of trading, drew attention on Thursday as several Wall Street firms raised their price targets for the semiconductor giant.
The stock price rose 1% in pre-market trading.
Frank Lee, an analyst at hsbc holdings, raised the Wall Street target price from $145 to $200 as he believes there is more upside momentum in the company's datacenter. He expects the third quarter results and guidance to reach the highest consensus as the "AI train is back on track".
Oppenheimer analyst Rick Schaeffer also raised the target price (from $150 to $175) and reiterated an outperform rating. "Blackwell Ramp needs to start F4Q and contribute low to mid single-digit $B in Q", Schaeffer writes. "Blackwell's supply includes [chips on wafers on substrate L] capacity...
