Why was there a decline due to the release of employment statistics?

The last 2 days of the May exchange rate were extremely volatile 😵‍💫 Most of the US stocks last night suddenly declined even though PCE was as expected, so positions were cut quite a bit as I posted in real time. $NVIDIA(NVDA.US)$ is cut in half, $Vistra Energy(VST.US)$ All stocks that have fallen so much have withdrawn. However, when I woke up in the morning, the entire index had recovered quite a bit, and I wasn't sure about the market. I wonder if it's a rebalance at the end of the month 😵‍💫 I'd like to buy it back if it comes back next week, but it's scary if the fluctuation continues, so I plan to gradually revive it while watching.
