But if you grabbed a handful of Puts today (hopefully NOT the 09/08 Exp) earlier this morning, you should have already sold enough within 30-45 min to recoup All of your Initial Cap PLUS made Profit!
If you have any remaining Puts open……. They are “Runners” now and doesn’t matter what they do!
But yea, many grabbed 9/08 Puts for a buck or 2 each and were able to sell them for close to $300 each. Grabbing 20 Contracts for $20 Total and then selling them within a few hours and making $5,000+ Profit! GOTTA LOVE OPTIONS.
But if you only purchased 09/08 Puts, THETA will make sure that you do not profit (unless something Drastic happens) but even so…… you’re most likely gonna lose money.
You’re a Day too late to the party with Puts! You’re better off Purchasing further out Call Debit Spreads with the Calls you’re Purchasing expiring a month or 2 later than the Calls you are selling. That way, Theta will DESTROY those Calls while not affecting your Bought Calls much!
Did you also sell some “Covered Calls” within the past week?? That’s BASICALLY FREE MONEY with NO Out of Pocket Cost of your own.
If you sold (10) Cov. Calls of the 09/08 $12 Calls last week for $227 each ($2,270 total) and then quickly purchased them back today for $1 each ($10 total), that’s an easy $2,260 Profit without losing a single share NOR spending a Single Penny (excluding Fees)
