Honestly I struggled the first couple months often selling too early. I feel I needed to make mistakes to learn from them. I don't really like to talk about my profits it seems like they disappear when I do lol. After a few months and many mistakes I found what seems to work for me. Then I got comfortable playing with options and this has really helped me become more profitable. Still make some bad decisions but I try to keep them to a minimum. Beyond patience I'd say one thing I learned is too trust my gut. Sometimes you have to take a loss but try not to hold too long hoping it will change and create a bigger loss. Sticking to things I know is another. I have a group of stocks I watch and try to figure out what moves them and try staying there. I feel like if I trade in areas of my interest or thing's I believe in, it makes it easier doing the necessary research. The community is great here and has lots of great suggestions.
