Scientific Games (SGMS) announced that it will sell its sports betting business OpenBet to the global sports and entertainment company Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc (NYSE: EDR) for US$1 billion in cash and US$200 million in Endeavor stock. OpenBet provides sports betting technology to operators in North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. It currently has more than 75 customers worldwide, including 24 sports betting companies in 12 states in the United States, including DraftKings, FanDuel, WynnBet, SkyBet, Ladbrokes and Top sports betting such as William Hill. Affected by this news, Endeavor's stock price rose 6.19%, and Scientific Games' stock price rose 5.79% after the market.
