$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$
Recently, US stocks were in turmoil, and the NASDAQ fell sharply by -13%. Here, I will adapt a Futu options lesson to explain how to effectively reduce losses through options. (The risks and margin requirements for the following operations are not discussed here. This is too long, please send a private message)
Take the popular Nvidia as an example. Let's say we recently bought Nvidia shares (100 shares) at a price of 120 dollars, then as of August 9, 2024, the current market price has dropped to around $104. Get an immediate premium of $87.5 to reduce position losses by selling call options with an expiration date of August 23 and an exercise price of $120 (note that 1 option corresponds to 100 shares, not 1 share).
Assuming that the stock price does not rise and remains below $120 due to macro factors in a short period of time, this option will not be exercised, and our option fee income is $87.5. For example, if Nvidia's stock price rebounded to $110 on August 23, the investor lost $1,000 on the underlying stock, which means the final loss was $1,000-87.5 = $912.5. If the stock price breaks through $120 due to unexpectedly favorable conditions, then your call option will be exercised, which means you have unlocked your previous capital.
If stock prices continue to move sideways, we can continue to trade similar guaranteed call options, then the accumulated option fees will make up for certain investment losses; for example, when trading secured call options once a month, the option fee for each transaction is 87...

Throughout the recent couple of weeks, the stock market has experienced some really goofy price action spurred by mostly unusual or insufficient interest rate decisions.
Firstly, the BOJ decided to hike Japan interest rates for the first time in years, with an interest rate close to 0 in the past.
This allowed investors to carry trade, where they borrow yen for basically free and exchange for USD to purchase US equity.
You can see how the interest rate was l...

If the Federal Reserve cuts interest rates, domestic prices in the US will skyrocket, and if interest rates are maintained, many companies will go out of business. Actually, the root cause is that the US government discharges water upstream and the Federal Reserve is building a dam downstream; now the dam is almost unable to hold up. If the flood drainage dam is downstream, it will be a vast ocean; if you persist, it will cause the dam to collapse. Now the US government must stop releasing water and drain the water from the reservoirs little by little to lower the water level. This is the only way. What I know at an elementary school level won't Biden know? The only explanation is that the people behind Biden want to break the dam because they have the net ready. It's that simple

$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ I still remember, two months ago, telling those retail investors to take profit while they could, because I knew it would gradually drop below $90. I'm not a prophet, I just knew some things earlier than they did, things they would eventually know too.
