one reason i love this app is the amount of details in share structure. Not many brokers display so much information
Google the following terms and research in depth:
1. outstanding shares
2. restricted shares
3. float shares
a very simple but not always correct formula is:
outstanding = float + restricted
I say not always correct because when you go down the research hole, you encounter preferred shares, then class A, class B and it gets more detailed. In short, Wall Street has so many ways to dilute and trick shareholders and retail investors eapecially
pay attention to who has lowest float - they are the ones who run hard and crash hard.
to me low float is less than 20 million. others put it at less than 40 million but that is a stretch. ultra low float is less than 10 million or even 5 million. That’s why tickers like ...
