rockindawg : You do not have to hold them until expiry; you can sell them any time during market hours to realize gains or stop losses. You sell them the same way you bought them. My advice is to do much more research before getting too deep in options trading. You tend to get bigger gains with them, but also total losses since you are not holding the underlying asset. To me, options trading is more like gambling than investing.

rockindawg : I don't think it has been confirmed by them yet, but that is the speculation I have been seeing. They are selling $12b Apple and buying $10b Nvidia. Maybe it started today? Might explain some of today's movement.

rockindawg 102169702 : You borrow shares, sell them, buy them back at a lower price, and return them. The price difference is your profit. You can accomplish the same thing by buying Put options, but the risk is greater.
