Manipulation and corruption is a virus that has infected the infrastructure of our market. one solution I've found while digging is the "uptick rule", its where short sellers can only short a stock on an uptick and this was actually repealed in 2007 before the crash of 2008. Guess what, while we were digging we found out the uptick rule was in place to protect from short sellers going rampant and its repeal was a direct cause of the 08 crash.
