Joshtradamus : Pretty meaningless, really. Any random ticker on any given week can/will show similar off-exchange volume. Here are 3 different stocks in 3 different industries.
Joshtradamus Trytosaveabit OP : Wasn't talking shit, & there definitely is higher off-exchange volume when stocks are volatile, as there are more large-block traders looking to get in on the action - i.e. buying, selling, shorting, locating, etc. As far as that being an indicator of price suppression, that's not the case at all, & the vast majority of the time it really is meaningless. AMC's off-exchange volume (at least short) is actually a little below average. Roughly 45% of ALL the volume traded on ALL the securities listed on the exchanges is done off-exchange.
