I sell calls an puts about 60 days out .it gives me an advantage over buying.
1 I get paid upfront
2 now for me to win all the stock has to do is nothing. stock price is near the same after 60 I win . if it drops on a call I win or rises on a put I win .
3 if it drops on a put but not enough I win i sell a 39 put on a 42 stock and it drops to 40 i still win
if it drops more I can roll the contract .
on a call I win capital appreciation and the payment.
