Charging itself is a good business model, but your AI is so good that people get used to ten years of free searches instead of paying. This doesn't work either, that doesn't work; if you change the name, it's still that bard.

71351613 OP xiaoswee : I held it when Google dropped the ball the first time announcing the product, when later they edited the demo of ultra, when chatgpt announced it is doing search... I held the stock, believing they had the ability to execute. I never doubted they had the capabilities, they have the cash, the ecosystem, the people to compete, yet they find a way to screw it up somehow. Sure they can fix the problem in a few weeks, but they are not leading with any excitement, just following others and being a me-too vendor. not to say this is not a profitable company with its existing products, just not measuring up to what I expect a tech leader to be.

71351613 OP xiaoswee : which leads back to my worry,  they have little to gain, yet a lot to lose if all they do is me-too. and you just made another good point, people seem to be leaving Google to make more exciting products on their own, whatever the cause, and I don't know if what is causing this can be turned around in a quarter or two.
