I thought bitcoin was expensive at $18k, how many times can you be wrong before you start believing the hype? i started buying small amounts every day so my cost moves with the price and I don’t miss out AGAIN while wishing for the days of cheap $100k bitcoins….

htxjoe Mr Pistachio : Chinese stocks are very safe. I, however, sold all of my Chinese stock because I don’t approve of actions their communist government is doing, and I can foresee a future where the US is passing sanctions on China after they join Russia’s side on WWIII. So while there are some very profitable opportunities in the Chinese market my loyalty, even though I don’t agree with my government most of the time, I’m American first, my loyalty makes me seek American companies first - and there’s a lot of them. I’ve had good luck with some Brazilian stocks too - it seems to be a strong emerging economy.

htxjoe v_violentine : Lol, absolutely it can be! Especially in recent times where stocks are more likely to go down than up. While I don’t hate on anybody for earning a living, I personally don’t like shorting, not because it doesn’t make money because it does, but for me it just feels dirty to make money from betting on stocks to go down. For me the better choice is buying a put or selling a call if you think a stock is going down, but I still prefer to reward successful companies by investing in their stock vs punishing bad investors for betting on the wrong stock. Strictly personal preference, though, plenty of money can be made using either strategy.

What the hell did Trump lie about? I watched every single press conference, the closest he got was saying injecting bleach kills coronavirus which is technically true, it just kills the host as well. Meanwhile I’m sure you were first in line to return all of your stimulus money… Had you been investing in 2019 you would know  the coronavirus economic recovery was some of the fastest gains ever made under any president- Trump brought In corporate leaders from CVS, Abbot Laboratories, Pfizer and more to discuss solutions, if you wanted to cherry pick stocks for economic recovery all you had to do was watch the news, every Trump press conference was practically corporate sponsored- best government reaction to Covid in the world!

htxjoe Benzodiazepine : Well I’m definitely not a part of the 99% you claim that doesn’t know what communism is, although I find that highly unlikely and stupidly exaggerated, considering the largest population in the world lives in communist China, I’m pretty sure the average Chinese peasant could explain the concept pretty well, but for those that don’t know, communism is defined as government that controls the means of production, and has little to do with socialism, which is a concept invented by penniless economist Carl Marx in his dreams of living in a world where you didn’t have to work to eat, a utopian society free from class where wealth is confiscated by a neutral government and redistributed “fairly” so that all can bask in the success of the few. If you favor socialism over capitalism there’s dozens of countries you can go enjoy basking in left wing politics, like the frozen wasteland to the north where farts don’t stink and men play on women’s rugby teams.

htxjoe Mama Cass : I like the stocks that pay dividends monthly, with the right interest rate and enough shares you get a free share every month, whether the markets go up or down your assets increase. If the stock price drops your dividends purchase more shares, then when the price goes back up it has a multiplier effect. Win-win investing.
