This year's inflows into ETFs worldwide crossed the $1 trillion mark for the first time at the end of November, surpassing last year's total of $735.7 billion, according to Morningstar data. That wave of money, along with rising markets, pushed global ETF assets to nearly $9.5 trillion, more than double where the industry stood at the end of 2018.
Most of that money has gone into low-cost U.S. funds that track indexes run by Vanguard Group, $Blackrock (BLK.US)$ and $State Street (STT.US)$ which together control more than three-quarters of all U.S. ETF assets.
Technically they're not the same concept, but the $1 trillion landmarks still remind me of $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ hitting a $1 trillion market cap on Oct.25. It showed how influential the company is.
Are you part of the one trillion? Would you tell me about the reason that you buy or not buy ETF?

the Biden administration is championing the CHIPS for America Act, a $52 billion bill that would encourage domestic semiconductor production and research.
"The shortage has exposed vulnerabilities in the semiconductor supply chain and highlighted the need for increased domestic manufacturing capacity."
In recent months, Apple, Ford, General Motors and other companies have been forced to slow production of their products in large part due to the chip shortage.
The chip shortage has significantly contributed to the biggest inflation spike in three decades.

Hi, mooers! Welcome back to MooHumor again! You guys must have been through a bumpy week.
The market was going up and down without any clue, playing with investors' feelings like a playboy. Fortunately, mooers can always learn something from every trade. The lesson taught by the recent market is that: "don't believe everything you see." Especially those things that are too good to be true.
Howard Marks's "second level thinking" may be an excellent principle to follow. Investors need to go beyond the obvious and avoid unintended consequences.
As usual, vote first plz
Let's go

$ContextLogic (WISH.US)$ We all know that WISH isn’t a superbly run company that’s just blazing new roads in e-commerce. It ipo’d roughly a year ago at like $24 and has been on a downward trajectory since. But even if it is a crappy company with a crappy product, aren’t stocks like that historically celebrated in this sub? I always thought the spirit of the sub was based on outrageous wagers on either unrealistic expectations of good stocks, or betting huge on shitty stocks.
Any mention of WISH is absolutely tarred and feathered here now. Why is this? There are certainly shittier companies and stocks out there that don’t get the backlash that WISH does. I’m really just curious about how it became hated to the extent it is here, when a stock like it should fit right in the spirit of the sub.

Pocadon LS Walls : I know that horrible feeling. study a stock and the company is solid but it's a penny stock. the second it lost 10% profit I sold.if I held one more day I could have paid off my house with 125,000% profit. but it was my first so I don't beat myself up too much. live and learn...or just live.
