Olam Group :on Friday (Aug 11) reported a net profit of S$48 million, -88.8 % from earnings of S$429.1 million y-y
The group said this was due to a one-off exceptional loss on lower almond yields in Australia which brought the group’s net exceptional loss to S$136.1 million, as well as significantly higher net interest costs of S$245.9 million.
Interim dividend: S$0.03
Pay out :Aug 28.

Welcome back to Monthly Buzz!
As the month began, markets continued to be optimistic as inflation turned out to be better than expected. Equity markets continued to rise, led by the small-cap Russell 2000 Index. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 underwent a special adjustment to address its weighting.
Later in the month, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates by another 25 basis points, leaving the door open for another rate hike....
