I started this journey in June 2024. Initially, I naively thought that focusing on high dividend stocks would be a no-brainer.  I screened out all the high dividends and mindlessly purchased.. After being hit by 30% withholding tax (US stocks) and price erosion, I realized this was a bad choi...

the market is shit to investors for the next 2 to 3 quarters. if your trading on only technical analysis then you might not get squeezed. but for me, the last 4 quarters of my work, my investing, my fundamental & technical analysis is being chipped away. I'm going to lose a year a fucking equity that I built. so I have to wait a fucking year to get back what I've made. and that's a low ball time frame.  I'm gonna lose a whole fucki g year of work.
