When talking about the future of EV, which will be the first company that comes up to your mind? I guess $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ would be one of the most common answers. 
It closed at $1,056.78 in Dec. 31, 2021, up 49.8% in 2021. 
And it surged 13.53% on Monday after delivering its record fourth-quarter deliveries that blew past Wall Street expectations.
However, there's one EV maker that may surprise you:

This year's activity coincided with a surge of rookie investors who joined the world of stock trading to ride the historic market rebound. Remote work, stimulus checksandhigher personal savings levels,as well as social media chatrooms only accelerated the boom in retail trading.
The meme stock saga started just days into 2021 when retail traders teamed up on Reddit's WallStreetBets' forum, aiming to bid up $GameStop (GME.US)$'s shares, which were heavily shorted by hedge funds. The retail buying triggered massive short covering among hedge funds that fueled the rally even further.
Trading volume for GameStop and meme stock favorite $AMC Entertainment (AMC.US)$ has faded. About 2.5 million shares of GameStop are changing hands daily based on a 30-day average as of Dec. 22, a fifth of that in January.

Reddit traders also appear less focused on GameStop and AMC, which were the two most-mentioned tickers on WallStreetBets this year.

WallStreetBets mentions for both peaked on Jan. 28 at about 267,000 for GameStop and 47,000 for AMC, but typical days for each over the past few months see hundreds, not thousands, of mentions.

Despite recent market sell-offs with GameStop and AMC each dipping to their lowest levels in months on Dec.14. But both stocks are up this year, at about 707% and 1,245% as of Dec.27, respectively .
Performance varies for other stocks popular on Reddit message boards. $Koss Corp (KOSS.US)$jumped 285%, $BlackBerry (BB.US)$ was up 43% for the year, while $Tesla (TSLA.US)$added 51%. On the down side, $ContextLogic (WISH.US)$dipped 80%, $Clover Health (CLOV.US)$dropped about 75%. $Palantir (PLTR.US)$ and $Bed Bath & Beyond Inc (BBBY.US)$ was down roughly 20% and 10%, respectively.

The stock market seemed to be moving back into rally mode following Friday's pullback amid the emergence of the Omicron variant of Covid-19. 
When investors are considering whether they should sell all of their position to avoid a huge correction, suddenly, the major indices just went all the way up and close to their all-time high. 
After the stock market opened Monday, the $Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$ rallied 0.35%, while the $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ moved up 1%. The tech-heavy $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$ climbed 1.6%.
$Apple (AAPL.US)$ traded up over 2% in Monday's morning action, while $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ moved up 1.9% , $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ rallied over 5%. $Rivian Automotive (RIVN.US)$ rose about 3.5%, while $Lucid Group (LCID.US)$ gained 1.8%. Chinese EV leader $Li Auto (LI.US)$ bolted higher after delivering earnings, while $XPeng (XPEV.US)$ raced over 4% higher.
So the dip was like a prank. It hurt investors' feeling and soon vanished in the air without any clue.

$Sono Group (SEV.US)$ , the electric-vehicle company that seeks to revolutionize the future of solar-powered transportation, celebrates its first day of trading on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker symbol "SEV."
The stock finished the day's regular trading session with a 154.67% gain, closing at $38.20 a share.
Sono Motors is developing the world's first solar electric vehicle. The company said it will "continues to pursue its mission to incorporate solar on every vehicle," such as buses, trailers, trucks, camper vans, trains, and boats.
