As commodity prices rise and domestic demand stabilizes and recovers, industrial prices in China continued to rise in June, with PPI and CPI both increasing year-on-year. However, CPI decreased month-on-month, mainly affected by the widening decline in pork prices. In June 2021, the national consumer price index (CPI) rose by 1.1% year-on-year, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points from the previous month; a decrease of 0.4% month-on-month, an expansion of 0.2 percentage points from the previous month. The core CPI, excluding food and energy prices, rose by 0.9% year-on-year, the same increase as the previous month.
