Is the goal then never to exercise the option? Or at least having to buy 100 of Tesla to exercise is a fortune to me!
Or else people would have to be borrowing crazy rates to cover the costs is my logic? I could see exercising a call and immediately dumping the stock as making sense - but are brokers willing to lend out half a million dollars like that?
I think that was why Robinhood paused trading before right? They had to go find enough money to lend out to the user base?
If you are taking on leverage, futures appear to make more sense to me. Which is why I figured no exercise

Arrayfunction : The FDA approval news is still a few months away. The news everyone is talking about for December is whether they reject the NDA or not. If they don't reject it, it is a couple months till final approval

Arrayfunction : Ahhhh, finally vindicated after holding since July. But what do I do oh great wise one? I only know how to HODL and not when to leave with my bag of money
Though in all seriousness, if you had any tips on how decisions are made (i.e. a NFA question :) ) as to when it is time to close out vs the risk/reward of further price movements, it would definitely be appreciated. Never had this happen before

I am a bit more limited with my intraday trading because I only use cash accounts (to get more than the 3 "day trades" in a margin one). I will just pretend I am doing something by coding some simulations of your technique in R as I procrastinate a decision!

Arrayfunction Trytosaveabit OP : Oh yes, very much correct! I have plenty of shares purchased with settled cash I can sell - but eventually I would run out of them if I traded volatility for a few hours
When it's an unstable limit cycle, I'd want to buy/sell 20-25% of the position at each peak and valley. That only works for so long before I run out ones I can sell without a GFV

Arrayfunction : I agree! I only come here for the conversation and education :) I actually couldn't buy anything on here even if I wanted to! They banned my account from opening positions for leaving negative reviews

Arrayfunction : Can confirm as someone with the disease - there is no good medication for it. Those are repurposed anti-seizure and anti-depressant meds and I couldn't even get to the dose with pain relief potential due to the awful side effects.  
Tonmya is a more narrow in use though. It's just cyclobenzaprine, which has been around as a tablet for a long time, in a under-tongue dissolvable to get absorbed much faster to help people fall asleep (without the extra risk of the effects lasting for hours while you are already asleep)
