i thought you need at least 75% of all issued shares to delist.
The Tang couple had previously shared that there is no intention to delist Suntec but we won't really know till it happens.

This translates to 708.27 million shares, as at 6 pm on Tuesday. That means that less than 10 per cent of its shares are now held by the public.

it went up and was supported because of the mandatory offer.
weakness in reits will continue as long as the Fed holds on to the current rates.

Bqwire Huat Biggest : ya, similar thoughts but probably supported around $1.05 to $1.06 region.

Bqwire : Yes, almost nobody is accepting.
As per their latest update, only 0.24% of the total number of issued units accepted their offer at $1.16.
From 05 Dec 2024 till now, this outcome is as good as nobody is accepting.
Those who accepted $1.16 are entitled to the new price of $1.19
The buyer is just trying his luck to get as many shares as possible at the lowest possible price.
The buyer probably knows nobody will accept but the law requires him to make an offer so he just try his luck.
Will just die down if the buyer stops after 03 Feb 2025.
In the meantime, just enjoy the price action.

Bqwire : I guess maybe these people are holding very little shares, selling in open market or not makes not much diff.
Is there transaction fee involved if you accept Aelios's offer?
Anyway the number of acceptance is very very small, can simply ignore.
The buyer is trying his luck since the law requires him to make an offer.

Bond years for 2 years and 10 years are going higher.
Does not bode well for Reits.
