A short squeeze can occur when a heavily shorted stock rises in value instead of falling. Short sellers could be looking to close out their position and can face a loss if they have to buy back the shares they initially borrowed at a higher price.
Here is a look at Fintel's top five short squeeze candidates for the week of Dec. 20.
$Petros Pharmaceuticals (PTPI.US)$ $iSpecimen (ISPC.US)$ $Reliance Global Group (RELI.US)$ $Vallon Pharmaceuticals (VLON.US)$ $Longeveron (LGVN.US)$
Mooers, let's look for the next $GameStop (GME.US)$or $AMC Entertainment (AMC.US)$.

It has been a bumpy 2021 for me, I am invested in $AMC Entertainment (AMC.US)$ $Proterra (PTRA.US)$ $ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK.US)$ $JD.com (JD.US)$ $Tencent (TCEHY.US)$ $Hut 8 (HUT.US)$ $MARA Holdings (MARA.US)$ $Palantir (PLTR.US)$ and haven't made a profit 😅, but I believe strongly in the fundamental of these companies and will continue to invest and dollar cost average in them. The key to investing long term is to pick companies with strong fundamentals and competitive advantage so that even in bad years it'll look like a huge discount to load up for future profits One day when I make a killing, I'll reward myself with this fine wine and bring my family on a vacation! Wishing everyone here an advance Merry Xmas 🎅🎅🎅 May your investments bring you great returns!!

In 2021, moomoo became the place where investors could share their opinions and communicate freely with each other. The frequent interactions between the enthusiastic mooers have positively impacted the community. Mooers are moving in the same direction: making profits and improving themselves. It would take a long time and great effort for our dear mooers to achieve these goals. Why don't we take a look at ten of the year's valuable market insights and investing tips?
Spoiler: There's a chance to get points if you read till the end.
*The selected articles are listed randomly.
ONE: Is investing in Trump's new merger a good idea?
@HuatLadywrote about his concerns on the merger of Trump's company and a SPAC called the Digital World Acquisition Corp. We have to admit that he has a point!
"Forgive me for predicting that most likely his company's stock will not be viable for long term investment goal."
View more: Will Donald be able to deal his Trump Card?
TWO: What do you think of meme stocks?
@Machiavellis3rdEyeused vivid language to call for rational investing and remind mooers to watch out for media manipulations. Do you agree with him?
"You ARE ALL MY ALLIES, regardless of your investment choices, politics, religions, colors, sex, or anything else! I say we start learning and adapting to their constantly evolving illegal games (media manipulation, PFOF, CB's) together. Then we will all figure out how to take that cheese - without getting TRAPPED."
View more: When will we get off this bus to CRAZYTOWN?
THREE: What can we learn from the big picture?
@WYCKOFFPROanalyzed the trend of the Russell 2020 with technical tools. Has the market proved his assumptions?
"The breakout of the Russell 2000 gives the first confirmation of the scenario of possible rotation from big cap stocks to small cap stocks."

FOUR: Will the strong momentum of recovery stocks fade?
On Nov 5, Pfizer introduced a new COVID-19 antiviral pill that is expected to treat 89% of acutely hospitalized patients and thus reduce the risk of death. @HuatEveranticipated that Pfizer's share price would continue to climb once the FDA approved the new antiviral pill. What do you think?
"They hold the promise of cutting down the risk of severe Covid 19 ailments, hospitalisation stays and even deaths, and if being taken at the early onsets of infection. "

FIVE: EV stocks skyrocketing: Good buy or goodbye?
@Deviltonconducted an in-depth analysis on one of the most popular stocks, $Rivian, and pointed out that patience is a virtue in trading.
"Human are always impatient, we will always have FOMO if we sit and wait till Friday, scared that it stops falling and starts to rise again. Yet buying all tomo may not allow you to buy at the best price." View more here.
SIX: How do you decide when to buy/sell?
@HopeAlwayssaid that there is no best way to determine when to buy and when to sell the stocks of indexes. The timings depend on investing goals, philosophies, and personal preferences.
"The three main risks are company, valuation and earnings risks. Once we are able to find a stock that that signals low risk based on these three conditions, it is time to buy. Whenever a negative change happens to any of the three conditions, it is time to sell."

SEVEN: How do you know when to stop loss / take profit?
@Powerhousehas three underlying principles in stopping losses and taking profits. All investors should stay informed and closely observe trends to set price targets.
"For micro, there is a need to determine your present financial risk appetite figuratively. On the macro level, situations may have changed. Determining when is the most precise time to stop loss or take profit of a stock and milk the most out of it is extremely difficult."

Asia stocks set for mixed open in countdown to Fed
Asian stocks are set for a mixed start Wednesday after the latest inflation data added to the case for tighter Federal Reserve policy, weighing on U.S. shares. The dollar rose with Treasury yields.
Australian shares slipped, futures for Japan fell and Hong Kong contracts were little changed. $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ and $NASDAQ 100 Index (.NDX.US)$ futures wavered. Technology shares led the drop on Wall Street as investors fret over reduced stimulus and sour on costlier parts of the stock market.
JPMorgan says it's OK if you're still in love with risky stocks
Investors should reconsider their affection for the safety of technology megacaps and start seeking out risky assets like beaten-down high-growth stocks and Chinese shares.
So says Dubravko Lakos-Bujas, $JPMorgan (JPM.US)$'s global head of equity research. "In the first half next year, assuming inflation shows signs of normalization, assuming the Fed ends up being more balanced and doesn't continue to move forward with tightening, which I believe the market is pricing in, and assuming the Covid situation starts to come back under control, I think you'll see a rotation from lower-beta megacaps into higher-beta."
New fund chasing day-trader favorites slammed by meme stock slide
The $ROUNDHILL MEME ETF (MEME.US)$ has fallen every day since its launch last Wednesday.
So far this week, $GameStop (GME.US)$ and $AMC Entertainment (AMC.US)$ have shed 15% and 16%, respectively. Meanwhile, the fund's top holding $Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC.US)$ -- the special purpose acquisition company taking former president Donald Trump's media company public -- is down 11%, bringing its losses to 23% since the ETF launched.
Elon Musk's stock sales could total $18 billion by the end of year
Elon Musk sold $906 million in $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ stock Monday. As of Tuesday morning, he has sold a total of 11.9 million shares, according to InsiderScore/Verity. Musk is making two kinds of stock sales — one to pay taxes on his compensation package and the other for straight cash-outs, or "to-pocket" sales.
Based on his 10% sale target, Musk will likely only sell another $5 billion before the year is out.
Dogecoin spikes more than 20% after Elon Musk says Tesla will accept it as payment for merch
Dogecoin skyrocketed more than 20% on Tuesday after Elon Musk said Tesla would accept it as payment for some merchandise. Musk has frequently talked up dogecoin, calling it his favorite digital coin and mentioning it in an appearance on "Saturday Night Live." Dogecoin hit a record-high price above 74 cents in May but has since plunged sharply.
Red-hot chip stocks are cooling
The $PHLX Semiconductor Index (.SOX.US)$, home to the likes of $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ and $Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US)$, has gained 36% in 2021 after advances of more than 50% in both 2019 and 2020. That brings the three-year cumulative return including dividends to almost 250%, exceeding gains seen in any similar span of the late-1990s technology mania.
However, global growth in chip sales slowed in October to May levels and has been cooling for three straight months, industry show.
Adobe, Cloudflare lead plunge in cloud stocks after JPMorgan issues wave of downgrades on valuation concerns
JPMorgan analysts downgraded Adobe, Datadog, Cloudflare, Zscaler and other software stocks in an outlook report for 2022. "With rates climbing, this adds risk to higher multiple software stocks trading over 20 times revenue," the analysts wrote.
$Adobe (ADBE.US)$ fell almost 7%, $Cloudflare (NET.US)$ tumbled 9% and $Zscaler (ZS.US)$ was off almost 8%.
UK regulator says Google and Apple hold 'vice-like' grip on consumers
$Alphabet-A (GOOGL.US)$ and $Apple (AAPL.US)$ hold a "vice-like" grip over how people use mobile phones, Britain's Competition and Markets Authority said Tuesday.
The statement is a fresh warning to tech groups after the regulator stepped up scrutiny of the power they wield in a world increasingly lived online. It recently told $Meta Platforms (FB.US)$ it had to sell Giphy, the popular animated images platform it bought in 2020.

According to bloomberg articles , we could know how to analyst Fed's Dot Plot and help us to understand the political trend.
What is plotted on the dot plot?
It’s a chart showing estimates of what the federal funds rate, the short-term interest rate controlled by the Fed should be. Members of the rate-setting Federal Open Market Committee each assign a dot for what they view as the midpoint of the rate’s appropriate range at the end of each of the next three years and over the longer run. Investors focus on the median dot. As many as 19 monetary policy makers -- the seven governors on the Fed Board in Washington and the presidents of the 12 regional banks -- can contribute a dot.
Why does it matter?
When the dot plot shifts, it can send a powerful message to investors on whether the U.S. central bank expects to speed up or slow down its planned tightening of monetary policy. It also creates a benchmark that can be used to highlight differences between the Fed’s official view and that of the financial markets. Recent increases in Treasury yields, for example, highlighted investor concern over
What good is a projection of the fed funds rate?
The dot plot was invented in late 2011, at a time when Fed officials were considering how to prepare markets for the shift they hoped to make away from the unprecedented array of monetary support measures they’d put in place after the financial crisis. The Fed chairman at the time, Ben Bernanke, and Janet Yellen, who served as Bernanke's deputy bbefore a four-year stint as chair, saw the dot plot as a way of giving markets a look into the Feds thinking beyond any immediate decision-making. FOMC statements focus mainly on current economic conditions and the immediate interest-rate target, though they’d evolved somewhat since the crisis and by December 2011 were offering investors forward guidance that rates would be held exceptionally low" at least through mid-2013.
How do Fed leaders view the dot plot?
Even so many peole pay attention to it, however, we must know that not everyone likes and believes it. Jerome Powell, who took over from Yellen as chair in February 2018, said in December 2018 that the dot plot “generally does provide useful information.” In a speech in March 2019, he said the dot plot “has, on occasion, been a source of confusion,” and he said he had asked an FOMC subcommittee “to explore ways in which we can more effectively communicate about the role of the rate projections.”
Therfore, you could use the information from Dot Plot but don't rely on it.

Fist of all, more million dollars accounts ever is the results of unprecedented QE (due to the pendamic). This just showed that the important of investing to grow your wealth because savings in the banks just can't fight the unlimited supply of money printing. I am not good in short term trading thus I only choose 3 good stocks for long term holding:
1) $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ the best performer with profits around 100%. Indeed the undisputed dominant leader in EV as expected. Will continue to hold.
2) $Apple (AAPL.US)$ Currently continue to run strong with increase momentum, profits around 50% currently. Continue to have strong confident especially Apple Car.
3) $Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM.US)$ The worse performer currently with small profits. My conviction that this company will continue to dominate the new oil of this century (precision microchips) never waver. Ready to add more if price go around 110.
Overall very happy with my account although no million dollars haha. Cheers!
