At&t has been unsuccessfully trying for 2 years to force me to drop my copper wire office phone line. They consistently say that their cell service or VOIP is perfect and has built-in redundancies to prevent any service disruption. The markets started off lower this week, which is common for September. Both the Nasdaq and NYSE, big parts of the stock market, recovered a bit and almost broke even. As the month began, markets continued to be optimistic as inflation turned out to be better than expected. Equity markets continued to rise, led by the small-cap Russell 2000 Index. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 underwent a special adjustment to address its weighting.
Later in the month, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates by another 25 basis points, leaving the door open for another rate hike....
