Dart Board Picks : I do believe grocery prices are rising.  the reason for these increases is structural.  People have grown accustomed to getting fresh produce out of season...Canadians import a lot of fresh fruit and vegetable out of season.  We import inflation from the increased costs elsewhere as well as it being compounded by a lower Canadian dollar.  People can cut food costs by consuming more locally produced fruits and vegetables, buying less processed foods including prepared salads, and changing protein sources from chicken to pork as a cheaper alternative.
