$SIME (4197.MY)$ just announced that they plan to buy 62% stake in $UMW (4588.MY)$ from PNB at RM5.00 per share.
This means that UMW will no longer be listed after the transaction goes through.
This confirmed the news report that The Edge reported 2 weeks ago.
UMW assets are tip top:
- 51% ownership in Toyota Malaysia's dealership
- 38% ownership in Perodua Malaysia
